Duke Acoustic

Here you can find the different shapes of our Duke Acoustics. We present to you the structural features and specifics of Dreadnought (D), Grand Auditorium (GA) und Auditorium (A).

Dreadnought

Our dreadnought models are available in two different classic wood combinations - rosewood/spruce or mahogany/cedar. Optionally with a solid or semi-solid body.

The dreadnought shape is an absolute classic and a worldwide standard for guitarists. This shape is characterized by its powerful sound, high transparency and strong basses. The unusual name is owed to the large naval ships of the early 20th century - especially the HMS Dreadnought of the Royal Navy 1.

Compared to other guitars, this one is quite large. The body is less accentuated with flat sloping shoulders and low waist. Sound-wise, the dreadnought comes across loud and clear. The Elixir Nanoweb Custom Light Acoustic strings are well suited in combination with the large body.

Grand Auditorium

Our Grand Auditorium models are available in our classic wood combinations - rosewood/spruce or mahogany/cedar - each with a fully solid or partially solid body.
In addition, we also offer a fully solid GA-AF-CUT-Solid with maple back and sides, including a cutaway.

The Grand Auditorium (GA) is smaller than a dreadnought and larger than the auditorium shape. If you are looking for a very precise tone and a balanced sound, this is the right place for you. Especially fingerpickers and fans of solos will get their money’s worth with a Duke Grand Auditorium (GA).

Our GAs are also available in the 12-string version (partially and fully solid), as left-handed models, and with a 2mm wider fretboard (WIDE).

Auditorium

Our Auditorium models are available in the wood combination rosewood/spruce. Optionally with a solid or semi-solid body.

Due to the curvy and narrow design of a Triple 000 or Auditorium (A), playing this is very easy. It is handy and still has a full and bassy sound.

The body is very wide in the lower part, similar to a dreadnought or jumbo shape, so its sound is almost as penetrating as the “big ones”.
