“Exceptional musicians in extraordinary places.” That’s the motto of our Duke Guitars Sessions. In this new session, Io Yamada is our guest. At the Kreuzkirche in Nürtingen, the winner of this year’s Michele Pittaluga International Guitar Competition performs the 1st Allegro Moderato from Joaquín Rodrigo’s Sonata Giocosa on a Duke Classic Meister C. As part of the Nürtingen International Guitar Festival, we had the privilege of featuring the winner of the 2021 Junior Competition in a Duke Session. Io Yamada is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Guitar at the Franz Liszt University of Music in Weimar.
